SUCCESS isn’t given. It’s EARNED EVERYDAY.
I was at the Rockwood District Swim Team practice. I can't help to notice the t-shirt of the coach that prints “SUCCESS isn’t given. It’s EARNED EVERYDAY.” The team practice six times per week. Athletes swim and being coached at least an hour and half continuously. No wonder the district has very good swim records in Missouri.
We see individuals and teams win championships and earn medals. We are amazed how the media shows their accomplishments. What we see is the end result of the discipline, dedication, and determination of individuals and teams.
It takes daily preparation of mind, body, and spirit to endure long hours of training.
It takes careful study of technique that ensures natural and precise execution of strokes, shots, kicks, or goals.
It takes steady and regular practice that ensures the best results.
It takes keen knowledge and inspiration from the coaches.
It takes the support of family and friends on an ongoing basis such like carpooling and fundraising.
Goal is set, and action makes it a reality. People like success, but not many want to work.
There is no such thing as overnight success because:
“SUCCESS isn’t given. It’s EARNED EVERYDAY.”
Apply this to yourself at work and at play.
